Eddie-

Great organization and worthy pursuit.

3 quick comments/questions.

1. In your RSS for Mapsblog feed you might want to put a title in the metadata > It's reading 'untitled source' in RSS newsreaders.

2. The About page in the Wordpress template has no information on Masspowershift.org

3. How would you feel about a 40something serial entrepreneur joining the organization? I'm sussing out a new project addressing the green economy.

Keep up the great work.

"Non-use values" encompasses everything that the global Common is to us-- nature, community, and culture all fall under values not dollarized into our traditional accounting.

An author named Peter Barnes has done the best analysis of these "incentive loopholes" (a more provocative term) in his e-book, Capitalism 3.0: A Guide to Reclaiming the Commons. It's free download (creative commons license) at http://www.capitalism3.com.

It is 80 pages, and is one of the most influential environmental policy readings I've ever experienced. Save it to your computer!

Even the phrase 'non-use values' lacks the pzazz to make it of any interest!
And since when was the natural world no use to us? Maybe wildlife will never get representation until pays taxes.

(PS- your NY Times link doesn't work.)

I do not pretend to understand the complexities of the economy, but it is my personal opinion that the money spent on the US bailout would have been better put towards the creation of more green jobs. It would have stimulated the economy and helped with an important issue. What are your thoughts on that?
